He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, graduating as the Best Student in the Faculty of Social Sciences; Master of Science degree in Monetary Economics from the University of Lagos, Akoka, and Master of Business Administration specializing in Finance and Accounting from Edo State University, Ekpoma. He had a stint with PriceWaterHouse Coopers as a Lead Consultant for key assignments in the Economic & Public Policy Group; Deap Capital Management and Trust Company Ltd as the Group Head, Venture Capital and Financial Advisory, where he was responsible for setting up the Deap Oil & Gas Venture Capital Fund. First Inland Bank Plc as Group Head, Capital Market & Business Advisory; Unity Bank as Group Head, Corporate Finance & Capital Market and was also the Division Head, Corporate Funding & Project Finance with responsibility for managing the Project Finance & Corporate Funding, Real Estate, Construction, Hospitality and Loan Syndication Groups at Fidelity Bank

Plc. Godwin is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, Institute of Pensions; Nigeria Institute of Management chartered and Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loans & Risk Management, Fellow, Institute of Credit Administration, Fellow, Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria, Fellow, Institute of Direct Marketing and Fellow Institute of Strategic Human Capital Managers. Godwin is currently the Group Executive Chairman of Oscorp Group, comprising of Oscorp Real Estates Limited, Oscorp Infrastructure Development Company Limited,

Newage Infrastructure Development Company Limited, Bond Place Hotels & Suites Limited and Oscorp Capital Advisors Limited (a boutique Investment Banking firm with strong focus in Corporate, Project, Structured Finance and Business Re-engineering services. Godwin has built these young private Infrastructure companies and hospitality group into one filled with talent and experience from across the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Sub-saharan Africa. He is an Alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School and a Knight of the Order of Saint Mulumba of the Catholic Church. He is happily married.
